Join us this summer for a few morning classes designed for the youngest artists.  We'll share a story, make some art, and explore the creative play stations.  It's the perfect summer morning!

Storytime Art - Who Ate Steve

Dive into this hilarious, fast-paced mystery to figure out what happened to Steve—with surprise suspects, escalating drama, and a perfectly silly payoff. After the story, artists will sculpt their own expressive bird characters using colorful plasticine clay, focusing on personality, shape, and playful details.

Storytime Art - Buffalo Fluffalo

For ages 2-6 years

This rhyming, laugh-out-loud story celebrates being big, bold, and unapologetically yourself as a fluffy buffalo learns that confidence is the best kind of cool. Artists will create a mixed-media animal collage using paper, fiber, and textured craft supplies to build a creature that’s proudly unique—fluff and all.

Storytime Art - I Can Only Draw Worms

This clever, encouraging tale turns creative frustration into comedy as a kid insists they can only draw worms…until imagination (and confidence) sneak in. Inspired by the story, artists will draw wiggly, expressive worms using Sharpie, oil pastels, and watercolor, exploring line, color, and joyful imperfection.​

FAQs

What are they going to make?
Each class makes a different open-ended, child-directed project that goes along with our story. In addition to the art project, artists will get to create during our warm-up activity at arrival time and can make even MORE art during our creative station time after snack.

Who can come to storytime classes?
Storytime Art Classes are designed for ages 3-5 years, but artists 2-6 are welcome to join us. Projects are open-ended and process-orientated so everyone can be successful!

Do parents drop-off or stay for class. 
If your artist is three years old, happy to be here, and can use the bathroom independently, you are welcome to drop-off.  Younger artists will need an adult assistant.  We will have a mix of parents who stay, parents who leave, and parents who do alittle bit of both!  For more information, read up on our Drop-Off Policy for preschool classes.

What does snack consist of?
Snacks are provided at the end of the class by the studio and are simple, pre-portioned snack (crackers or cookies, usually).  Please note food allergies on your registration so we can ensure everyone has a safe environment.  If you wish to bring your own snack instead of sharing ours, that's a-okay.

Is there a sibling discount?
Due to supply costs, there are no sibling discounts for classes/camps.
