Children creating artwork inspired by Alan’s Big Scary Teeth during a Storytime Art Class at Orange Easel Art Studio, combining storytelling and hands-on creativity.
Storytime Art - Alan's Big Scary Teeth
LIBERTY: June 13th, 9:30am-11:00am
PLATTE WOODS: June 20th, 9:30am-11:00am

For ages 2-6 years

Deep in the jungle lurks Alan the alligator, descended from a long line of very scary alligators. He prepares carefully — polishing his scales, brushing each of his big, scary teeth, and practicing his frightening faces — then sneaks into the jungle to terrorize the jungle critters.

Until one morning, when Alan wakes up and finds that his teeth are gone! Without those teeth, he’s just not very scary, and scaring is the only thing he knows how to do. Or is it?

PLATTE WOODS: June 27th, 9:30am-11:00am

Gilbert has almost everything his fishy heart could desire: a castle, a chest filled with treasure, and food that falls from the sky. But there's one BIG thing missing from his life: a pet. And so begins Gilbert's harrowing search for the perfect fishbowl companion - a search filled with loud barking, quiet buzzing, and one giant whiskered surprise!

Children creating artwork inspired by Stuck during a Storytime Art Class at Orange Easel Art Studio, combining storytelling with creative exploration.
Storytime Art - Stuck
PLATTE WOODS: June 13th, 9:30am-11:00am
LIBERTY: June 27th, 9:30am-11:00am

For ages 2-6 years

When Floyd's kite gets stuck in a tree, he's determined to get it out. But how? Well, by knocking it down with his shoe, of course. But strangely enough, it too gets stuck. And the only logical course of action . . . is to throw his other shoe. Only now it's stuck! Surely there must be something he can use to get his kite unstuck. An orangutan? A boat? His front door? Yes, yes, and yes. And that's only the beginning.

FAQs

What are they going to make?
Each class makes a different open-ended, child-directed project that goes along with our story. In addition to the art project, artists will get to create during our warm-up activity at arrival time and can make even MORE art during our creative station time after snack.

Who can come to mini camp?
Mini Camps are designed for ages 2-5 years.  Projects are open-ended and process-orientated so everyone can be successful!

Do parents drop-off or stay for class.
If your artist is three years old, happy to be here, and can use the bathroom independently, you are welcome to drop-off.  Younger artists will need an adult assistant.  We will have a mix of parents who stay, parents who leave, and parents who do alittle bit of both!  For more information, read up on our Drop-Off Policy for preschool classes.

What does snack consist of?
Snacks are provided at the end of the class by the studio and are simple, pre-portioned snack (crackers or cookies, usually).  Please note food allergies on your registration so we can ensure everyone has a safe environment.  If you wish to bring your own snack instead of sharing ours, that's a-okay.

Is there a sibling discount?
Due to supply costs, there are no sibling discounts for classes/camps.  Check out our auto-discounts for multiple class sessions.  Only one auto-discount can be applied per order.
