All October registered artists and their families are invited to join us in the studio for a celebration of the fall season.  Enjoy a hot dog and chips.  Bring a pumpkin to decorate.  Enter our chili contest for a chance to win 1/2 off your spring semester tuition. RSVPs required.  This is a free event open only to our regular weekly students and their families.

Halloween Storytime Art Class: Pick a Pumpkin
For ages 2-6 years
Thursday October 30th, 9:30am-11:00am
LIBERTY STUDIO
Celebrate the season with a cozy Halloween storytime featuring Pick a Pumpkin by Patricia Toht. Little artists will enjoy a magical potion-making activity before settling in for the beautifully illustrated tale of pumpkin picking and carving. After the story, we’ll create vibrant jack-o’-lantern artwork using watercolors and oil pastels. Class ends with time to explore our Halloween-themed creative play stations—complete with glowing blacklight fun!

Halloween Storytime Art Class: If You’re Spooky and You Know It
​For ages 2-6 years

Get ready to sing, wiggle, and create in this not-so-spooky Halloween storytime featuring If You’re Spooky and You Know It by Aly Fronis. We’ll start with hands-on potion making, then read this playful book filled with silly ghosts and spooky surprises. Afterward, artists will create their own silly monster collage. Our Halloween-themed creative play stations will be open for child-led exploration—lit with blacklights for extra glow!​

Blacklight Halloween Art Party​
For K-8th grade
Thursday October 30th, 6:30pm-8:00pm
BOTH LIBERTY & PLATTE WOODS STUDIOS
Step into the glow and get spooky with us! In this special Halloween event, artists will explore a series of blacklight-lit art stations designed for maximum creativity and eerie fun. Projects include building haunted houses, crafting wild monster collages, mixing glow-in-the-dark potions, and even stretching some gooey eyeball slime. Dress for mess—and maybe a little magic.

Ornament Making Workshop, ages K-and-up
Saturday December 13th, 10:00am-11:30am

​We will have 5 different ornament stations set up--using polymer clay, fibers, metal, and more! Artists can visit one station or all FIVE and are guaranteed to will leave with creative, artsy ornaments perfect for your tree or to give as gifts!

Gingerbread Houses, ages K-and-up

Come decorate a gingerbread house...but with craft supplies instead of baking supplies!  These houses will make adorable decorations for years to come!

Holiday Storytime: Snowmen at Night
For ages 2-6 years
Saturday December 20th, 10:00am-11:30am
BOTH LIBERTY & PLATTE WOODS STUDIO
Celebrate the season with a magical morning inspired by Snowmen at Night by Caralyn Buehner. We'll start with a fizzy snowman science activity, then read the story and create mixed media snowmen collages with paint, fabric, and sparkle. Class ends with time to explore our winter-themed creative play stations.

Winter Break Art Camp: Ice Cream Sundae Sculptures, ages 4 and up
Friday January 2nd, 10:00am-2:00pm
LIBERTY STUDIO
I scream...you scream...we all scream for ice cream!  Use modeling clay, paint, and collage materials to create your own sundae sculpture that looks good enough to eat.  In addition to making our project, we'll have plenty of time to explore some sweet-treat themed creative play stations.

Winter Break Art Camp: Dragon Eyes, ages 4 and up
Friday January 2nd, 10:00am-2:00pm
PLATTE WOODS STUDIO

Eye see you! We will use a glass pebble to craft our iris and pupil.  Then, we sculpt the scales around our eyes using plasticine clay.  In addition to making our project, we'll have plenty of time to explore some fantasy themed creative play stations.
