Studio time is important to us!  If you miss a class for any reason, you can make a reservation to come into the studio and an Orange Easel instructor will work to get you caught up on everything you missed. 

Artists can also use these open studio times for additional work time as needed.

K-and-up: Wednesdays 5:00pm-8:00pm

What to expect for your make-up class/lesson

Our make-up sessions are not quite the same as classes.  You might have a different teacher for your make-up session than you noramlly do.  Depending on the night, there might be a bunch of other artists in the classroom with you, but you're ALL arriving at different times, leaving at different times, and doing different things.  

PRESCHOOL FUNDAMENTALS CLASSES
For our preschool artists, make-up lesson are often one-on-one with an instructor.  We'll warm-up with the arrival activity that you missed, then read the story, respond in our journals, and complete the art project.  We will not have the creative play stations set-up.  PLAN ON ABOUT 40-50 MINUTES

TODDLER CLASSES
Unfortunately, we don't have a great way to do a make-up for these artists since setting up the playroom is so labor intensive.  If you miss your class, please reach out to us so we can figure out the best way to make it up to you!

MULTIMEDIA CLASSES
We'll go over the lesson that you missed and get you caught up with your project so you're on the same step as your class.  We won't have discussion time or critique so PLAN ON ABOUT 35-45 MINUTES.

DRAWING CLASSES
We'll go over the lesson that you missed and spend time exercising and practicing.  Depending on your drawing focus and how long you want to work, your make-up time will vary.  For 101, PLAN ON ABOUT 40 MINUTES.  For 102/103, PLAN ON ABOUT 45-75 MINUTES.

CREATIVE EXPLORATIONS CLASSES
We'll have the art history, still life, and media focus activites set up at your work station for your make-up.  You're welcome to explore these three areas as you would during your process art class, but--unlike your regular class--we ask that you stay seated in your spot during make-ups.  PLAN ON ABOUT 30-45 MINUTES.
