Field Trip Packages

Studio Art Experience Field Trip
For ages 4-5 years
​90 minutes
$12 per student, minimum of $120
max group size 32 students

​Create a mixed media masterpiece using our all-time favorite combinations (sharpies, oil pastels, and watercolors), explore the creative play stations in our preschool art room, and splat paint the big wall!

Color Science Field Trip
​For ages 4-5 years
​90 minutes
$18 per student, minimum of $180
max group size 16 students

In the large classroom we'll, explore color theory, make color volcanoes, and mix up some slime.  After all of our experiements, we'll have plenty of time to explore the creative play stations in our preschool art room and finish by splat painting the big wall!

Art in the Dark Field Trip

​Create a GLOWING mixed media masterpiece using collage techniques, explore the creative play stations in our GLOWING preschool art room, and then splat paint the big wall IN THE DARK!

Tie Dye Field Trip
For K-and-up students
​90 minutes
$18 per student, minimum of $180
max group size 16 (Liberty) / 24 (Platte Woods)

Splat paint the studio to get warmed-up and THEN learn the art tie-dying.  Pillowcases, gloves, and tie kits are provided.  Artists MUST wear old clothes...this stuff does not wash out!

Our most popular package includes SPLAT Painting, a "hands-on" color mixing activity, painting lesson and a 8x10 canvas for all artists.​

Art in the Dark Field Trip
For K-and-up students
90 minutes
$17 per student, minimum of $170

Make art that glows!  We'll draw and paint in the dark in the large classroom using special art media that GLOWS.  Then, we do some body art that makes US glow too!  Lastly, we'll splat paint the big wall!

Ink & Fire Field Trip
For 5th-grade-and-up
90 minutes
$20 per student, minimum of $200
max group size 16 (Liberty) / 24 (Platte Woods)

​After splat painting to warm up, artists will paint two ceramic tiles with alcohol inks. Students will fire the tiles and seal them with resin before the party ends. Tiles can be finished with felt feet and used as coasters or hung as wall art.  NOTE: Tiles will go home WET with resin that takes 24 to cure.

Field Trip FAQs

First time booking a field trip?  Check out our Terms of Service for private events.  Below are the answers to some of our frequently asked questions!

Can we do a field trip any day of the week?
Our studios reserve Wednesday mornings during the school year for private events. The rest of the days, we have classes or other programming scheduled.

Can each parent pay separately for their child(ren) instead paying as a group?
Unfornately, no.  Our studios are not set up to take payments.  When booking a private event, the coordinator will need to pay for 50% of the group when booking and the remaining 50% following the field trip.  Please note, deposits paid on private events are non-refundable.

Can I pay with a check?
No. All payments are made through our online booking system; you can pay with any major credit or debit cards.

If kids are sick on the day of the field trip do I still have to pay for them?
When booking, the 50% deposit is calculated from your estimated headcount.  Our Studio Services coordinator will email you the week prior to your field trip asking for an unpdated headcount.  This is the number we will use to prep supplies and schedule staff so it is the number we will use for final billing.  No adjustments will be made for absences.

Do parents drop-off or stay?
Parents are welcome to drop-off or stay.  Keep in mind, our while we don't have limits on the parent audience, square footage in our buildings are not unlimited!  Usually, we tell families that any more than 20 grown-ups in attendance at Liberty or 40 grown-ups in attendance at Platte Woods and the room is going to feel very crowded.

We expect our adult to be as well-behaved as our young artists.  Our instructors will be leading 12-24 artists through a series of art activities so we ask that you help us by keeping adult conversations to times when we are not activity instructing.

Can siblings attend?
Yes, we can accomodate siblings who want to attend, either with the audience or as a participant; however, we have a few requirements:

• Any little siblings not participating (1's and 2's especially) should be secured in a parent's arms or in a stroller/carrier for their safety.  These activities are not set-up for babies and toddlers and we'd hate for anyone to get hurt in our space!
• Siblings who ARE participating must be an appropriate age and must be included in the final headcount that we get from the organizer 10 days prior to your field trip. This way, we can be set-up and staffed for the appropriate number of artists. 
• Participanting siblings must be paid for.  We do not take money in the studio.  Parents can pay us online via a private link generated especially for your class; please let us know when booking if you will need that.  If your organization will be covering the cost of siblings participating, you don't need to worry about this step.
