Because not everyone learns in the same way.  Our Creative Explorations classes are designed for independent learners who would rather dive into the media and figure everything else out along the way.

​These classes are perfect for artists who love to make things without the constraints of a pre-determined finished product.  Also perfect for artists who benefit from movement, sensory breaks, and variety.

Class Interest Form

Class Stations include:

Media focus - Each month, we'll have an table set up to explore that same media as our multimedia classes.  Artists can make/construct whatever they want using the materials on this table.

Art history focus - ​Learn from the masters!  Each month we design a different info sheet and color page about a famous artist and their artwork. 
​

Collaborative vertical surface invitation - This could be giant canvas with paints, a mural with kwik sticks, a sticky contact paper collage.  Everyone is invited to add to our collaborative work.
​

Still life drawing invitation - Still life is an observational drawing exercise where we draw inanimate objects in an arrangement.  Each month will have a different arrangement and a different drawing medium.
​

Journal invitation - Cuddle up in the lounge and work in your sketchbook.  We do more than just draw...sometimes we print, or sticker, or collage, or paint. Each month is a new prompt and new set of materials.

Sensory bin - Take a break and play in our seasonal sensory bin!

Creative Explorations

In these process art classes, artists can explore the same art materials and lessons as our multimedia and drawing classes, but classtime is entirely student-directed.  Artists can choose what THEY want to work on each week.  Stations change monthly. 
​
Creative Exploration classes meet *three* times per month for 60 minutes. Tuition includes all of our supplies, materials, and an Orange Easel art journal.

How much does it cost?

Monthly tuition for Creative Explorations classes is $105 per month.  This is includes three weekly classes each month (and one "off day").

There are no additional fees*.  No registration fees. No new student fees. No credit card fees.  No supply fees.  No cancellation fees. 
You never have to purchase a uniform. Or special shoes. There's never any fundraising you'll need to do.  And no tickets are required for our annual art show--the studio covers everything.

​*Full transparency: Our registration system (Sawyer) charges a one-time Sawyer Booking Fee of $3.99 on orders over $100.  This is NOT an Orange Easel fee, is something we have no control over, and not applied to reoccuring tuition payments.

How Registration Works

Weekly classes meet during the school year, from September through May. Our fall semester is September-December and our Spring Semester is January-May.

Enrollment periods

We have two enrollment periods each year:
August 1-31st: Fall Semester enrollment
December 1-31st: Spring Semester enrollment

When signing up during these times, families have two enrollment options:
1. Pay for your semester tuition in full, save 15% on tuition, and become a member of the Studio Club.  VIEW Studio Club perks here.
2. Enroll via a monthly tuition payments. We will automatically bill you on the first of each month. Registrations continue for the entire semester unless you notify us by email before the 20th of the month.

Mid-semester enrollments

We will start new students in the middle of the semester as long as there is room in the class.  Mid-semester enrollment only have the monthly tuition payment option.  If you're interested in joining us for classes and the enrollment period has already closed, you can fill out an inquiry form here.
